Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Assembly member, scholar and TV host Amir Liaquat Hussain has claimed that he divorced his first two wives, did not go to court and did not sign the divorce papers.
Amir Liaquat’s first wife Dr Bushra Iqbal had said in December 2020 that her husband had divorced her over the phone.
His second wife Tobia Anwar had said through social media posts on February 9 this month that she had divorced her husband. She had married Amir Liaquat in July 2018.
Aamir Liaquat was married for the third time on February 10 to 18-year-old Syeda Dania Shah, with whom he participated in the YouTube Nadir Ali podcast.
In the show, Aamir Liaquat Hussain not only talked openly about his third marriage but he also talked about the affairs of his first two wives.
In response to a question, Aamir Liaquat erred in stating the year of birth of his third wife Dania Shah and first stated that Dania Shah was born in 2007, then stated that she was born in 2003.
During the program, Dania Shah did not reveal the year of her birth, but said that when she cried as a child, her mother would put Aamir Liaquat’s program on TV and she would keep quiet.
Dania Shah said that her husband had given her a car as a gift and she would go to Thailand for honeymoon.
In the program, Amir Liaquat Hussain also spoke openly on the issue of the first two wives and praised them both and also expressed good wishes for their future.
Amir Liaqat said he was paying for his children’s education and that his son Ahmed was 22 years old.
According to him, he gave his first wife a house worth Rs. 8 crore for the children, in which he is currently living, while he also gave a second house worth Rs. 2 crore to his first wife.
He said that he had brought a BMW car to his first wife, which was sold and the cash was also given to him.
According to the scholar and TV host, he arranged for the burial of the father of the first wife and buried his father-in-law in the compound of Abdullah Shah Ghazi, where he himself wanted to be buried.
He also quoted Tobia Anwar as saying that they gave him a car worth Rs. 65 lakhs and a TV screen worth lakhs of rupees, but they could not give him a house.
According to Aamir Liaqat, his marriage to Tobia Anwar lasted only two and a half years, so he could not give her a house.
The MLA said that Tobia Anwar got fame because of her and today she has gone a long way but before that no one even knew her.
The TV host said that he prays for the first two wives to make further progress.
In response to a question, Amir Liaquat claimed that he did not divorce his first two wives.
When asked about khula, he claimed that he did not go to court, nor did he sign the khula papers, but his wives declared khula and divorce and they were separated under Pakistani law.
He claimed that the first two wives were not divorced or divorced in a religious manner and no scholar including Maulana Tariq Jameel would justify the divorce of his wives.
Although Amir Liaquat claimed that he did not sign the divorce papers or go to court, he nevertheless said that he was now divorced from his two wives because his ex-wives had declared it.
In the program, he also said that now their marriage is final, now they will not be able to get married at a young age, at the same time he suggested men to get married instead of slapping outside.
