Scholar and TV host Amir Liaqat, while reacting to the news of divorce from his second wife Tobia Amir on social media, said that she is still my wife.
A few days ago, after Syeda Tooba, the second wife of Dr. Amir Liaquat, removed the name of Amir Liaqat with her own name and renamed it after her father, there were speculations on social media that the two have separated.
Following the rumors, Aamir Liaquat shared a video of Tooba on social media and said that he was with her.
In the video, Syeda Tooba is with Aamir Liaquat and is crying and thanking Amir Liaqat for finding her lost cat.
With this video, Aamir Liaqat denied the news of divorce between him and Syeda Tobia and said, “She is still my wife.”
Amir Liaqat explained that Syeda Tooba had removed her name on social media and renamed her father.
“Why do women change their father’s name to their husband’s name after marriage?”
Amir Liaqat said that he was happy that Tobia adopted my ideology and renamed her father with her own name at my request.
He also told about Syeda Tooba’s upcoming project that she is working with her friend Shahrooz Sabzwari, son of Behrooz Sabzwari.
He said that he was very happy for both of them and prayed for their success.
It may be recalled that Syeda Tooba, the second wife of Amir Liaquat, had changed her name to Amir Liaqat on all her social media accounts a few days ago.
After which, her name appears on all social media accounts as ‘Syeda Tobia Anwar’ instead of ‘Syeda Tooba Amir’.
Earlier in June this year, Aamir Liaquat had also called the news of his divorce from his second wife Tobia Amir a lie on social media.
She also removed all photos of Amir Liaquat from his Instagram account.
Aamir Liaquat was married to model and actress Tobia Aamir in 2018.
He was also criticized for marrying a girl many years younger than himself, while his children also taunted him.
Amir Liaquat’s first marriage ended after his second marriage and his first wife Syeda Bushra confirmed the divorce in December 2020.
