Ahmed Godel, who was the target of public outrage at the opening ceremony of the 5th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), was fired.
The inaugural ceremony of PSL Five was held at the National Stadium in Karachi on February 20, in which Ahmed Goodell’s hosting was not liked by the cricket fans at all and he was ridiculed on social media.

In this regard, Ahmed Goodell said in a video statement that “I want to give big news to everyone, I am no longer a regular part of PSL and Pakistan Cricket Board, congratulations to everyone.”
He asked the critics, “Did I make arrangements for this event?” Why don’t you tell them who did all this? I am humiliated and I am being criticized.
Ahmed Goodell said with tears in his eyes, “When I needed my company the most, for which I slipped on my shoes and screamed for 10, 10 hours to entertain people, the same thing happened. The organization raised its hand against me and said, “Fight your own war.”
He said that the institution asked me who went to the media houses with whose permission? Don’t I have the right to defend myself?
“It was a mistake on the part of the administration. I should have told them I was going to go live. I should have given them the script but you said hurry up and wake people up,” Ahmed Goodell said.
“I was sitting in the car to get to the stadium at 12 o’clock when the call came to stay at home, to tell me what was wrong with me,” he said.
It may be recalled that after being criticized over the opening ceremony of PSL, Ahmed Goodell had participated in programs of several TV channels.
