I grew up hearing from Amy Jan that Pakistan has always shown its mettle in making ideal, purposeful and instructive dramas and films all over the world. The stories of Pakistani films and dramas reflected every aspect and character of the society. There was domesticity in these stories as well as romance stories. There was a scary element, but also folk tales highlighting the culture. But there were also curious events and comedies that made the audience laugh. The purpose was to entertain people of all ages and backgrounds.

Hina Altaf And Agha Ali Told How Much Children They Want

Daily and weekly dramas telecast on PTV were enjoyed by people of all ages. The drama of eight o’clock at night was so popular among the youth that when he was about to come on air, the streets of the bazaar and the neighborhood were deserted.

According to Aman, the play “Waris” by Mehboob Alam and Aurangzeb Leghari had captivated human beings. That magic was the story of this drama which left an indelible mark on the minds of the people and people still remember it and tell their children about this drama. Ghazal Salam and the late Hassam Qazi raised the flag of popularity in the story “Marvi” written by Noorul Huda Shah.

Similarly, there is a long list of Pakistani dramas which include Sunshine Edge, Day, Untold, Walls, Smoke, Alpha Bravo Charlie and A Love Hundred Fiction. Horror, science fiction and comedy dramas were popular among children. Apart from these, there were some dramas which became equally popular among adults and children. Are I used to hear this rumor at home from my childhood that the neighboring country always steals the stories of our dramas and movies, even the songs, in which the two films which are honestly stolen are thresholds (Indian version high people), Aina (Indian version). Love does not bend) and there are many songs. It was the perfection of the scriptwriters who impressed the neighbors so much that they were forced to steal the story and the songs.

Pakistani dramas are broadcast not only in India but also in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, UK, Norway, USA, Canada and Turkey. Neighboring India has been broadcasting Pakistani dramas Dhoop Kanare, Dastan, In Kahi and Waris since 1980, then Zee TV demanded a ban on Pakistani dramas. That glorious golden age seemed seemingly timeless but it is a law of nature that every rise has a decline so the Pakistani film industry may have declined years ago but there is still a slight breath left in the drama industry which will be seen in the near future.

Drama always reflects society. Unfortunately, watching Pakistani dramas today, we are forced to wonder whether our society is really suffering from the mental, moral and social degradation that is being portrayed in dramas. Is . Conspiracy theories, Deadly humanity in relationships, Lewish lifestyle, Reckless use of make-up, Idols in homes in the name of adornment, Ways to make money in shortcuts, Insulting sacred relationships, Semi-nude clothing, Social debauchery Attitudes, distance from religion, multiplicity of divorces, disobedience of parents and even common use of drugs are shown.

The argument for this immorality and absurdity is that “we are showing people what they want to see”. This argument was acceptable as long as Pakistani media was dominated by only ideal Urdu dramas, but in the 60’s Pakistani media started broadcasting dramas of other countries including USA, Korea, Spain and Turkey. Turkish dramas like Nazli, Pyaar Shabad Mein Kahan, Abro, Kosum Sultan, Meira Sultan and Fatima Gul were very popular but Turkish dramas which raised the flag of public popularity in Pakistan and tarnished the popularity of Pakistani dramas. He is the author of the historical series “Ertugrul Ghazi” based on the life of Ertugrul Ghazi, the father of Usman Ghazi, the founder of the Ottoman Caliphate. The Ertugrul drama ended the weak argument that “we are showing people what they want to see”. The whole of Pakistan knew what people really wanted to see.

Fans of dramas have been tired of watching a certain section of society in local dramas for the last few years, with faces covered with make-up, half-naked clothes, stories of deception, poor acting, lifeless scripts and substandard productions.

As Pakistanis, the people never want Pakistani drama to ever decline. People are still eager to make the same dramas which would have been 13 to 14 episodes but would have left their mark for years. The actors were known not by their real names but by the names of the characters and their performances were so lively that people laughed and cried with them. I wish! They came back again.
