Dua Zehra’s husband Zaheer Ahmed says that he came in contact with Dua through Pubg Game.
Dua Zahra’s husband said in a statement that I am a resident of Lahore, Dua and I got in touch through Pub G Game and we have been in touch for the last three years.
Zaheer Ahmed said that Dua Zahra came from Karachi herself. Dua came outside my house and texted me. She came in a rented car.
Zaheer Ahmed said that my family members were ready for marriage. My family members also wanted the family members of Dua to agree but the family of Dua did not give a positive answer for marriage. That is why she left her own house.
Zaheer Ahmed further said that I study, what is FSC and how to apply for admission in university.
According to sources, Karachi police had shared the marriage certificate of Dua Zahra with Lahore police yesterday after which Lahore police started investigation in this regard.
Sources said that one of the witnesses in the marriage certificate was Asghar Ali whose residence was said to be Haveli Lakha.
Police sources said that when Asghar Ali was questioned, he said that both Dua and her husband Zaheer had come to him and are now in Pakpattan.
According to police sources, on Asghar Ali’s statement, police raided the house of a landlord in Pakpattan from where Dua and her husband Zaheer were taken into custody.
Okara police also took a video statement of the girl in which she said that she came from her home voluntarily.
Okara police said the two would be produced in a local court for the time being and a decision on their custody would be taken in the light of the court order.
Sources said that details about Dua’s husband Zaheer have not come to light so far and according to the police, the two are being investigated as to how they got involved.
Sources said that Zaheer was staying at the house of a landlord in Pakpattan for prayers.
Besides, Dua Zehra and Zaheer also filed a harassment petition in the local court. Their marriage took place on April 17 while the petition was filed on April 19.
In the video statement, Dua Zahra said, “I came from my home of my own free will. My family members wanted to force me to marry someone else. They used to beat me, which I did not agree to. I came of my own free will.” No one kidnapped me when I did not bring any valuables from home. My family members are misrepresenting my age. I am 18 years old. I got married to Zaheer Ahmed of my own free will. I am very happy with my husband at home.
It should be noted that Dua Zahra is a resident of Malir area of Karachi who went missing on April 16.
