English Boxer Amir Khan Visits Hazrat Ali R.A Shrine In Najaf Shareef Iraq

Pakistanis are known for making politicians and cricketers famous. It is seldom that people from other fields receive admiration of Pakistanis and manage o become a household blame.

Amir Khan is a British professional boxer and a former unified light-welterweight world champion who held the Commonwealth lightweight title for two years, the WBA title for four years, the WBC Silver welterweight title for three years and the IBF title once. He gained attention during his amateur career for winning a silver medal in the lightweight division at the 2004 Olympics, which made him the youngest British boxing Olympic medalist at the age of 17.

Following his WBA title win at the age of 22, he also became one of the youngest British professional world champions. He also unsuccessfully challenged once for a middleweight world title. Among other sports, he is interested in mixed martial arts, cricket, basketball, and football.

Sports are specially not very developed in Pakistan and sportsmen are often looked over when we talk about famous celebrities. Amir Khan is however a man from United Kingdom who won boxing championships and made Pakistan proud as well. He has always owned his ethnicity and has a huge fan following in Pakistan. People love to see him and his wife Faryal Makhdoom in action. Amir Khan has also been working for the betterment of boxing in Pakistan.

After winning World Boxing Championship twice, Amir Khan has officially taken retirement from boxing and now a days working on other ventures. Amir was in Najaf Iraq along with his buddies as he visited the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Ali RA. He got the opportunity to visit the Holy place and shared moments spent there with his fans.
