Allama Iqbal Day said that Allama Iqbal awakened the consciousness of unity among Muslims.

He said that Dr. Iqbal wanted to see the Ummah united, the poet of the East urged the Muslim youth to fly high like Shaheen, Allama Iqbal was a thinker of Islam and a painter of Pakistan, Allama Iqbal’s poetry breathed revolutionary spirit in the youth.

Siraj-ul-Haq said that most of the messages of Allama Iqbal are for the young generation. Allama Iqbal made the youth realize that self is their real capital. Allama Iqbal was a staunch opponent of capitalism and Western democracy.

Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq said that Pakistani nation should play its role to make Allama Iqbal’s dream a reality.

It should be noted that the 144th birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the poet of the East and the sage of the nation, is being celebrated with great enthusiasm today.

Dr. Allama Iqbal, the poet of the East, who dreamed of a free country for Muslims and awakened the human spirit, was born in Kosialkot on November 9, 1877. His father’s name was Sheikh Noor Muhammad.

The poet of the East, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, was one of the leading thinkers, poets, writers, jurists, politicians, Muslim Sufis and one of the most important personalities of Tehreek-e-Pakistan.

Allama Iqbal, a universal thinker like “Dua Bin Ke Tamna Meri” comes to the lips of the nation of Islam, took degrees in law and philosophy but he resorted to poetry to express his feelings.

Allama Iqbal expressed his thoughts in such a way that he became the voice of the nation.

The poet of the East spent a large part of his life in Europe and England but he never adopted the British way of life. In his poetry, Allama Iqbal addressed more youth. Allama Iqbal is also considered as a modern day Sufi

Allama Iqbal evoked a sense of separate nationalism in order to free the Muslims of the subcontinent from the chains of slavery and awakened the Muslims with his poetry. Their thoughts and thoughts lit the lamp of hope which indicated not only the destination but also the path.

Allama Iqbal’s city Afaq Kalam is read and understood in every part of the world. He always urged the Muslims for unity and harmony and invited them to act.

He passed away in Lahore on April 21, 1938 at the age of 60. His mausoleum is a reference in the shadow of Badshahi Mosque.
