The Cold War between former Pakistan Cricket Team captain Muhammad Hafeez and PCB officials took a new turn when Chief Executive Wasim Khan and Director International Zakir Khan, despite their persistent insistence, rejected it.

He arrived in Pakistan on September 12 for the T20 series against New Zealand, as opposed to playing in the event until the Caribbean Premier League final.

Mohammad Hafeez, who played 55 Tests, 218 ODIs and 113 T20s for Pakistan, scored 179 runs for Guyana in eight Caribbean League matches and also gave a five-wicket performance.

Initially, the PCB issued permits to players in the Caribbean Premier League, including Muhammad Hafeez, to participate in the event until September 18. Later, the board told the players that they had to arrive in Pakistan by September 12 and New Zealand. The series against is to be reported on September 16.

After which Mohammad Hafeez repeatedly contacted Chief Executive Mohammad Waseem and Director International Zakir Khan and tried to persuade them that the first match of the Pakistan-New Zealand five-match T20 series is to be played on September 25, so they He will be allowed to play the event till the end of the Caribbean League. He will reach Lahore by September 18 and join the camp instead of going straight home. However, he was asked to follow the instructions. The board will not change its decision.

On the other hand, surprisingly, Chief Executive Wasim Khan issued a permit to Emad Wasim, who played for Jamaica, to stay in the West Indies.

In all this, former captain Mohammad Hafeez is very tolerant. Sources close to him say that he has serious concerns over the attitude of the PCB’s chief executive and director of internationals.
