Pakistan’s most attractive batesnam Javed Miandad was suddenly transferred to the hospital. The leading player of the national cricket team has been shifted to the hospital for this reason. According to family sources, he felt dizzy due to which he collapsed.

On which he was admitted to a hospital in Karachi.

Javed Miandad’s name is synonymous with spirit and spunk in the folklore of Pakistan cricket. The entire nation would watch spellbound, as the street-fighter held firm against rampaging fast bowlers or the flight and guile of spinners. Undoubtedly, the willowy maestro scripted quite a few miraculous victories for his country.

If we take a trip down memory lane, even now fans reminisce Miandad clouting Chetan Sharma for a six off the last ball in the Austral-Asia Cup final in Sharjah in 1986. The India – Pakistan rivalry is arguably unmatched in any sport. It is a sporting contest that drives fans across the borders to fever-pitch frenzy. In the Austral-Asia Cup final, when Miandad thwacked the last ball of the match bowled by Chetan for a six to take his team to a monumental win, Pakistan celebrated in unrehearsed reactions and the game was pushed into the national consciousness. On the other hand, it was doom and gloom for fans across the border in India.

Miandad, born on June 12, 1957, had keen interest in cricket from a young age. He even agreed to field in games played at the Muslim Gymkhana for Rs 50. His father also worked for Karachi Cricket Association (KCA) which helped him to gain knowledge from top cricketers.

There is a story of how Miandad while playing for Karachi against a rival club side had asked the manager of the team to send him into bat with 18 runs required off a mere three balls. The manager agreed, with the batsman in the middle retiring out. Remember, the batsman who was forced to retire out was none other than the captain of the set-up! Miandad, with boyish adventurism, went on to clobber three sixes.
